Experience required - 2+ Year Role Overview : We are looking for an experienced Python Architect with deep expertise in AWS serverless and distributed systems. This role is ideal for someone who has architected and operated production-grade platforms serving thousands of users and handling millions of transactions. You will play a critical role in system design, technical decision-making, and engineering excellence, while collaborating closely with DevOps, SecOps, and product teams. What You’ll Do : Architect, design, and deliver scalable backend systems using Python and AWS serverless technologies Lead the development of event-driven, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems Design and build public-facing RESTful APIs used by B2C and B2B customers Drive best practices around clean architecture, modular design, and test-driven development (TDD) Own systems end-to-end: design → development → deployment → monitoring → optimization Collaborate with DevOps, SecOps, Analytics, and Product teams to ensure secure, observable, and reliable systems Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions across teams Technical Expertise : We’re Looking For Backend & Architecture Extensive experience shipping and operating production-grade backend systems Strong background in distributed systems, system design, data modeling, and observability Proven ability to design for scale, reliability, and performance Cloud & AWS Expert-level experience with AWS Serverless, including: Lambda Dynamo DB API Gateway Step Functions Kafka / SQS Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures Python & Engineering Practices Expert Python skills with strong fundamentals: TDD Dependency Injection Clean code & design patterns Experience building modular, maintainable, and extensible codebases Databases & Messaging Strong experience with: Postgre SQL Dynamo DB RDS Kafka Expertise in schema design, caching strategies, and performance optimization DevOps & Automation Comfortable working with: GitHub Actions Infrastructure as Code (IaC) CI/CD pipelines Experience collaborating with DevOps and SecOps teams Bonus Points : Experience in Health Tech or Healthcare systems Familiarity with EDI standards (837/834), payer systems, or claims processing Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security
