Python Backend Developer(Remote) FastAPI | MongoDB | Scalable Systems Location: Remote Experience: 2+ years Type: Full-time ⸻ About Drawfix Drawfix is an app studio. You will work on systems used daily by thousands of users. You will help shape how our platform scales from thousands to millions. This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-and-own role. ⸻ What You Will Work On Core Backend Development • Build and maintain FastAPI services used in production • Own APIs with 200+ endpoints • Design clean, versioned, and secure REST APIs • Write clear documentation for internal and external use Database and Data Handling • Work deeply with MongoDB • Design collections that scale • Write efficient queries and aggregations • Improve performance and reliability Background Jobs and Async Work • Handle long-running tasks using Celery • Use Redis or RabbitMQ where needed • Design async workflows that do not break under load Payments and Integrations • Integrate payment systems like Razorpay or Stripe • Handle edge cases, failures, and retries • Work with third-party APIs safely Architecture and Scale • Help move systems from monolith to microservices • Build services that can handle 10,000+ concurrent users • Work with WebSockets for real-time features • Improve response time and system stability Quality and Ownership • Write automated tests • Set up monitoring and alerts • Work with CI and CD pipelines • Review code and guide junior developers • Take part in system design discussions ⸻ What We Expect From You Must Have • 2+ years of backend experience in Python • Hands-on work with FastAPI, Flask, or Django • Strong understanding of MongoDB and NoSQL design • Experience with async programming • Experience with Celery and Redis • Clear understanding of API security and performance Good to Have • Experience with Docker and AWS • Exposure to microservices systems • Experience with payment gateways • Any work with image processing or AI tools ⸻ What You Get • Direct access to founders • Real ownership of systems you build • Opportunity to influence architecture decisions • Work on products used at scale • Fast growth in skills and responsibility • Remote-first culture with optional Noida office • Competitive pay with long-term growth ⸻ Who Should Apply Apply if you want to build, not just code.
