The Remote Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in providing high-quality accounting services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This position requires strong expertise in public accounting and inventory management, particularly within the e-commerce sector. The manager will serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring their unique needs are met with a white-glove approach. The role involves not only traditional accounting tasks but also significant client interaction, requiring excellent communication skills. Remote Accounting Manager Responsibilities: • Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients, primarily in the consumer packaged goods sector. • Provide comprehensive accounting services, including payroll processing and inventory tracking. • Oversee outsourced accounting teams managing journal entries, accounts payable/receivable, and monthly financial close. • Prepare necessary tax filings, including sales tax and business licenses. • Create key performance indicators and performance reports. • Recommend process improvements and automation solutions. • Manage document flow using cloud-based tools. Remote Accounting Manager Requirements: • 4+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on multiple clients. • 3+ years of inventory accounting experience. • Experience in public accounting, preferably with e-commerce clients. • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Excel. • Familiarity with or is required. • Experience with Gusto is required. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. • Experience managing offshore teams is preferred. • Familiarity with trade spend and EDI workflows is preferred. • Experience with sales tax platforms is preferred. • Knowledge of Rippling software for payroll is preferred.
