About the job

Your Role Joining Eloelo means being a key contributor in shaping the future of live interactive entertainment. As an SDE-II (Backend), you will play a critical role in designing, building, and scaling backend systems that power live streaming and real-time user experiences. You will work closely with product, game, and infrastructure teams, taking ownership of features end-to-end while contributing to system design and architectural decisions. What You Will Do Understand user behaviour and continuously enhance the platform experience with every release Own the end-to-end delivery and solution architecture of backend features Design and develop highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant systems Deliver HLD & LLD for complex backend problems and innovations Build and optimise low-latency RESTful APIs with best-in-class performance Work on event-driven architectures using distributed messaging systems Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality features Continuously refactor codebases and architectures to maintain high engineering standards Requirements 3–5 years of hands-on experience in backend engineering Strong fundamentals in Data Structures, Algorithms, and OOP concepts Solid understanding of concurrency and multithreading Strong experience with Java; familiarity with GoLang or Python is a plus Experience in data modelling using both Relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL databases Proven ability to design and implement low-latency RESTful services Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP) Hands-on experience with distributed queue systems like Kafka Experience building and maintaining large-scale production systems Passion for learning, ownership, and solving complex technical challenges Good to Have Experience working in fast-growing startups Exposure to microservices architectures Familiarity with real-time systems (WebSockets, streaming, pub-sub models) Experience improving system performance, scalability, and reliability at scale Why Join Eloelo Build high-scale live streaming & gaming platforms High ownership and real-world impact Opportunity to influence architecture and technical direction Work with a passionate, collaborative, and fast-moving team
