Senior AI Assisted Development Engineer - ( Independent contractors / Immediate Joiners) Remote | Full-time We’re looking for a Senior AI Assisted Development Engineer to lead the adoption of AI-powered coding practices across engineering teams. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on development with technical leadership, shaping how AI is embedded into modern software delivery. You’ll play a key role in defining standards, coaching teams, and enabling engineers to successfully build applications using AI-assisted workflows. What you’ll be doing: • Define and standardise best practices for AI-assisted coding (generation, refactoring, testing, documentation) • Create playbooks, reusable patterns, and prompt libraries to drive consistency and productivity • Partner with engineering teams to deliver their first AI-assisted applications • Review and guide AI-generated code to ensure quality, maintainability, and alignment with architecture • Evaluate and implement tools such as GitHub Copilot and AI-enabled IDEs • Embed AI into the development lifecycle (IDE, CI/CD, code review) • Establish governance frameworks and human-in-the-loop validation processes • Build internal tooling to enforce guardrails and track adoption metrics • Deliver training, demos, and knowledge-sharing sessions across teams • Continuously improve frameworks through experimentation and feedback What we’re looking for: • 5–10 years of software engineering experience in production environments • Strong coding skills in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or similar • Hands-on experience using AI coding tools in real-world projects • Experience mentoring or guiding engineers • Solid understanding of modern architecture (APIs, distributed systems, frontend frameworks) • Strong foundation in testing, performance, and clean code principles • Knowledge of prompt engineering and limitations of LLM-generated code • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling • Understanding of secure coding, compliance, and licensing considerations If you’re passionate about the future of AI in software engineering and want to shape how teams build with it, we’d love to hear from you.
