Senior AI Engineer – LLM Frameworks, Vector Databases & Automation Location: Chennai / Hybrid / Remote (as applicable) Experience: 6+ years overall, 3+ years in AI / LLM-driven systems Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and scale LLM-powered applications using modern orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and automation platforms. This role focuses on agentic workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and end-to-end AI automation across business and product use cases. Key Responsibilities: • Design and develop LLM-powered systems using frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, and ReAct-style orchestration • Build and optimize agent-based workflows for multi-step reasoning, tool use, and decision-making • Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines using vector databases • Integrate and manage vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, and Qdrant • Develop and maintain AI-driven automations using platforms like n8n, Zapier, and Make.com • Connect LLMs with APIs, databases, SaaS tools, and internal systems • Optimize prompts, embeddings, latency, and cost across LLM workflows • Ensure reliability, scalability, observability, and security of AI systems • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to deliver AI-first solutions • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to AI architecture decisions Required Skills & Qualifications: LLM & AI Frameworks • Strong hands-on experience with LangChain • Experience with AutoGen and multi-agent systems • Familiarity with ReAct-style orchestration and tool-augmented reasoning • Experience working with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM providers Vector Databases • Hands-on experience with Pinecone, Weaviate, or Qdrant • Strong understanding of embeddings, similarity search, and indexing strategies • Experience designing and tuning RAG pipelines Automation & Integration • Experience building workflows using n8n, Zapier, and/or Make.com • Ability to automate business processes using AI agents • Experience integrating LLMs with CRMs, ERPs, ticketing tools, and SaaS APIs Programming & Backend • Strong proficiency in Python (primary) or TypeScript • Experience building APIs and backend services • Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Good to Have (Nice to Have): • Experience with function calling, tools, and agents • Knowledge of prompt engineering and evaluation frameworks • Experience with fine-tuning or adapters (LoRA) • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability for AI systems • Exposure to LLMOps / MLOps tools Soft Skills: • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Ability to translate business problems into AI solutions • Clear communication and stakeholder collaboration • Ownership mindset and ability to work independently.
