About the job

What will you be doing? – I. Review the clients regularly and make sure that all the changes are communicated to their juniors and get the errors fixed before sending the final work to the onshore team. II. Will be part of the weekly/bi-weekly meeting with the onshore team. III. Keeping the books updated regularly and reviewing the financial statements at the end of each month. IV. Review the financial statements and general ledger reports at the end of the financial year and make the year-end adjustment journal entries. V. Recording transactions such as income and outgoings and posting them to various accounts. VI. Verify receipts and payments in the bank and match them to the invoices and bills accordingly. VII. Reconcile sales taxes and payroll taxes at the end of each month. VIII. Perform all accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers activities every month. IX. Assist the junior clients by clarifying questions, reviewing their work, and following up on the status regularly. X. Maintain the client tracker with the status update and update the timesheet regularly. Experience Required – What is the expectation from the candidate’s current role/profile? 1. Should have at least 4 years of US Bookkeeping experience for small business clients. 2. In-depth knowledge of necessary bookkeeping procedures, best practices, and terminology. 3. Knowledge of US payroll taxes. 4. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. 5. Attention to detail and accuracy of work. 6. Knowledge of XERO will be an added advantage.
