Senior Associate, Chief Accounting & Capital Office Gurgaon, Haryana, India Data & Reporting Strategy provides access to a comprehensive financial database populated by AXA XL's Finance Architecture. Team members manage the Data Conformance Layer (called CL) which is home to the technical data of the Insurance Segment. This is where all data is interfaced from various source systems (theFrame, GENIUS, WINS, etc), which includes policy level details, and is then conformed into financial codes using accurate mappings for all Insurance data. Maintaining these mappings is crucial. The available data is based on requirements for external reporting, financial MI, GL and accounting practices. Tools connect the GL to source details, whilst adhering to the guiding principles for 'a single source of truth' and other governance standards. Representing Finance, DRS assists with complex reporting needs, data analytics, and the Finance Close. This is accomplished by Financial Data Analysis, complex reconciliations, Data Quality Control, managing change requests from across the organization, and enhancement or deployment of new systems. What you’ll be DOING What will your essential responsibilities include? • Source System Subject Matter Expert (SME) (theFrame, GENIUS, US Genius, WINS, Procede) • Data extraction using SQL Server queries from various database on different server locations • Analyzing ETL data errors by performing error handling and investigating the root cause of the errors along with proposing solutions/ fix for the errors • Performing data reconciliation & analyzing the underlying data by investigating the in-depth cause of the data inconsistencies • Coordinating with Business SMEs and technical teams for exceptions/issues and working towards resolutions for the same • Supporting quarterly project releases by participating in various Integration, Regression and user acceptance testing cycles • Coordinating with Business SMEs and technical teams for exceptions/issues and working towards resolutions for the same • Root Cause analysis of data errors and resolution specific to critical internal and external data You will report to Manager, Chief Accounting and Capital Office. What you will BRING We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: Required Skills and Abilities: • Robust database skills, Object Oriented Programming and development knowledge excellent analytical skills • Capable of working effectively across borders and across cultures • MCA / B.Tech or Graduate in commerce with relevant years diploma in IT applications • Relevant years post qualification experience • SQL Server and Advanced MS-Excel skillset is MANDATORY, VBA programming &Power BI experience is preferred • Any ERP / BI Financials/ Reporting experience is preferred • Basic Insurance accounting knowledge preferred Desired Skills and Abilities: • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with an ability to initiate and participates in meetings with business / IT SMEs • Organized, methodical and able to deal multiple priorities effectively doing multitasking • Must be proactive and ability to work under limited supervision • Proficient in analyzing and translating business requirements to technical requirements and architecture What we OFFER Inclusion AXA XL is committed to equal employment opportunity and will consider applicants regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity and origins, marital status, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
