Senior Backend Developer | Python Django Remote India | B2B SaaS Logistics | ₹25–30 LPA We are building a B2B SaaS product for US logistics companies with live paying customers. Small team, continuous shipping, real ownership. What you will do • Design and build backend systems using Python Django • Own APIs, data models, and core business logic • Apply Object Oriented Programming principles to build maintainable systems • Design backend services with security, scalability, and reliability in mind • Write clean, readable, well-structured code • Maintain 100 percent unit test coverage • Write integration tests where workflows require them • Produce clear technical documentation • Work directly with frontend on React • Ship features using a Kanban flow with continuous prioritization • Own production readiness and predictable releases Current scale under 50k API requests per day. How we work • Kanban, not fixed sprints • Work is pulled based on priority and capacity • Small, frequent releases • Clear ownership per task • Direct feedback loops with founder and frontend This role suits engineers who prefer steady delivery over artificial sprint deadlines. Tech stack Python, Django, PostgreSQL, React Infra guided by senior backend What we care about • Code quality over speed • Tests before shipping • Documentation that survives handoffs • Product ownership and accountability • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking Shipping without tests or poor documentation is a deal breaker. Required experience • 4 plus years backend development • Strong proficiency in Python and Object Oriented Programming • Hands on experience with Django • Production experience with PostgreSQL and cloud based systems • Experience building scalable and secure backend services • Proven system design ownership • Background in early stage SaaS, logistics tech, or YC style startups • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field • Strong written and technical communication Portfolio requirement • GitHub profile required • Repositories should show real world structure, tests, and clean commit history Working model • Remote India • Full time • Timezone: You can work out of the Indian time zone but a few hours of availability in the US time zone (PST) will be required • High autonomy • High founder involvement Compensation • ₹25 to ₹30 LPA fixed • Annual appraisal Growth Clear path to Lead Backend Engineer within 12 months as system ownership expands.
