Role Overview We are looking for a hands-on Senior Business Analyst with 8–10 years of experience in Commercial Data Warehouse (CDW) and analytics. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and data engineering teams to define, document, and deliver scalable data solutions that support commercial operations and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Business & Functional Analysis • Engage with business stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Commercial Operations) to gather and analyze requirements. • Translate business needs into detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and data requirements. • Define KPIs, metrics, business rules, and reporting needs for commercial analytics. • Conduct gap analysis and recommend data-driven solutions. Data Warehouse & Analytics • Work closely with data engineering teams on data modeling (dimensional models – fact/dimension). • Define source-to-target mappings (STTM) and data transformation logic. • Support development of Commercial Data Warehouse (CDW) and data marts. • Ensure integration of multiple data sources such as: • Sales data (primary/secondary) • CRM data • Market data • Customer / HCP / Territory data Delivery & Testing • Support Agile delivery – backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization. • Develop and execute UAT test cases and validate data accuracy. • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery. Stakeholder & Communication • Act as a bridge between business, data engineering, and reporting teams. • Provide regular updates, manage expectations, and support change management. • Deliver functional walkthroughs, documentation, and user training where required. Required Skills & Experience • 8–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with strong hands-on involvement. • Proven experience in Commercial Data Warehouse (CDW) / Enterprise Data Warehouse projects. • Strong understanding of: • Data warehousing concepts (ETL/ELT, dimensional modeling) • Data mapping and data lineage • SQL for data analysis and validation • Experience working with commercial datasets such as sales, CRM, market data, or customer analytics. • Hands-on experience with UAT, data validation, and business rule definition. • Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. • Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment. Preferred Qualifications • Experience in Life Sciences / Pharma commercial analytics. • Exposure to tools/platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Databricks, or Redshift. • Experience with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI). • Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.
