About the role: The Cloud Center of Excellence is responsible for developing Gartner’s capabilities in automating and streamlining IT infrastructure processes and DevOps tasks while improving Gartner’s self service capabilities using public cloud platforms and open-source technologies. We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst – FinOps to join our team and help drive financial efficiency and cloud cost optimization. In this role, you’ll partner with finance, operations, and technology teams to deliver actionable insights, improve processes, and ensure financial governance across multi-cloud environments. What you will do: • Analyze and report on cloud and operational spending, creating dashboards and forecasts. • Work with technology FinOps partners to implement processes to monitor cloud spend in real-time, identifying anomalies, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost control. • Create dashboards and reports that provide visibility into cloud costs and ROI metrics. Present actionable insights to leadership and stakeholders. • Implement FinOps best practices for cost allocation, optimization, and governance. • Leverage cloud cost management platforms and develop automation to streamline financial operations and ROI tracking. • Support Technology teams with ad-hoc analysis needs. • Act as a liaison between finance and engineering teams. • Ensure compliance with financial policies and standards. What you will need: Must have • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field. • 4-6 years of experience in business analysis, finance operations, or cloud financial management. • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, and GCP) and their cost categories.​ Good to have • Experience with FinOps tools Harness CCM (Cloud cost management) / Apptio Cloudability / AWS Cost explorer or any other similar tool and automation. • Strong knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud billing models. • FinOps Certified Practitioner or Professional. • AWS/Azure/GCP certification. • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI or similar tools) Who you are: • Excellent communicator with stakeholder management skills. • Experience demonstrating problem solving and root cause analysis. • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity. • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
