Senior Category Manager - Apparel & Accessories
About the job
Responsibilities: • Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies to drive sales, market share, and profitability for Apparel & Accessories. • Conduct in-depth market research, trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking to identify growth opportunities and potential threats. • Source, select, and manage relationships with a diverse portfolio of vendors and brands, negotiating favorable terms and contracts. • Curate and optimize product assortments, ensuring a compelling and relevant offering for target customers. • Develop and execute pricing strategies to maximize revenue and maintain competitive positioning. • Collaborate with marketing teams to create and implement effective promotional campaigns and go-to-market strategies. • Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and inventory performance to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions. • Manage inventory levels, forecasting demand, and minimizing stockouts and overstock situations. • Ensure a seamless customer experience from product discovery to purchase and post-purchase support. • Stay abreast of emerging fashion trends, industry innovations, and best practices in e-commerce merchandising. • Mentor and guide junior category specialists or team members. • Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the e-commerce platform. • Develop and manage the category's P&L, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or product management within the retail or e-commerce industry.
