Our client, a prominent retail group, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Category Manager to lead their high-performing Electronics division. This key role, based in vibrant Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN, requires a leader with extensive experience in retail merchandising, category planning, and supplier management. You will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and market share within the electronics segment. This includes product assortment planning, pricing strategies, promotional activities, inventory management, and building strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors. The ideal candidate possesses a keen understanding of consumer electronics trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscapes. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for electronics, aligning with overall business objectives. - Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats. - Manage product assortment, ensuring a compelling and competitive range of products for customers. - Develop and execute effective pricing and promotional plans to drive sales and profitability. - Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and payment conditions with suppliers and vendors. - Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key electronic brands and manufacturers. - Manage inventory levels to optimize stock turnover, minimize markdowns, and prevent stockouts. - Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create impactful in-store and online merchandising campaigns. - Monitor category performance against key metrics (sales, margin, market share) and report on progress. - Identify and onboard new suppliers and innovative products to enhance the category offering. - Conduct regular store visits and market research to understand customer needs and competitive positioning. - Mentor and develop junior members of the merchandising team. This is an essential on-site role requiring your consistent presence at our Jaipur, Rajasthan, IN headquarters to effectively lead the category team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and foster strong relationships with partners. Your strategic vision and execution will be critical to the success of the electronics category.
