Our client, a leading retail giant, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Category Manager to lead their Electronics division in Kochi, Kerala, IN. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive category strategies that drive profitable growth and market share. You will manage the entire product lifecycle for the electronics category, from assortment planning and product sourcing to pricing strategies, promotional activities, and inventory management. Key responsibilities include: - Analyzing market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to identify opportunities and threats. - Responsible for achieving ambitious sales and margin targets through effective supplier negotiations, cultivating strong supplier relationships, and optimizing product mix and placement. - Collaborating closely with marketing, sales, and operations teams will be crucial to ensure the successful execution of category plans. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the consumer electronics market, including emerging technologies and product trends. Proven experience in category management, strategic sourcing, and P&L management is essential. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills are required. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is required, and an MBA or equivalent is preferred. A minimum of 7 years of experience in category management or a related retail function is necessary, with a strong focus on electronics.
