We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Consultant Specialist. In This Role, You Will • Develop and manage project strategies, securing stakeholder engagement for project plans, commitments, and modifications. • Assist technology teams in managing delivery by balancing scope, schedule, resources, dependencies, communication, and budget. • Collaborate with the technology team and Product Owner to enhance productivity through effective backlog management and the application of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean. • Oversee and report on progress, issues, dependencies, and risks to program management and stakeholders, providing recommendations to sustain delivery momentum and benefit realization. • Ensure adherence to standard controls, driving teams towards compliance with frameworks, capability management, security controls, and technology architecture designs. • Support the prioritization of capabilities within the Value Stream, including the creation of Capability Investment Cases and Capability Hypothesis Statements. • Identify and resolve delivery impediments, escalate issues to Portfolio/CIOs, and track key delivery risks. • Manage governance forums such as VS Reviews, Portfolio Syncs, Scrum of Scrums, PI Planning, and QBR. • Maintain a comprehensive view of resource demand across the Value Stream, considering geographical, skillset, and grade variations. • Establish long-term capacity plans with stakeholders, addressing changes in funding and skillset evolution. • Manage delivery-related reporting at the Value Stream level, enabling self-service and providing exception reports for senior stakeholders. • Assist the Value Stream Leadership Team with backlog refinement, prioritization, and maintenance. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements: • 12 years of IT experience with 5 to 8 years of Project / Delivery management. • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile (Scrum/Kanban), and hybrid models • Ability to manage distributed teams. • Possess a broad understanding of concepts and principles across multiple or rapidly evolving disciplines. • Have an advanced understanding of various value units, products, regions, and legal entities, along with HSBC's product and service positioning. • Experience in managing multiple teams through subordinate managers, with accountability for independent budgets. • Ability to handle diverse activities requiring complex judgements and solutions based on strategic vision and analysis. • Continuously seek improvements in techniques that add value to the business, with full responsibility for implementation. • Make decisions within strategic guidelines, with direction from long-term business goals. • Develop business plans for teams and contribute to strategy at the value unit, region, product, or legal entity level. • Avaloq implementation experience is desirable.
