Starting Date: ASAP Contract type: Fixed-term, 9 months with an option to extend for an additional 3 months Salary: if hired in Delhi, INR 2,642,741 Location: Delhi Application closing date: 06/02/2026 About The Job The Senior Data Analysis Coordinator will play a key role in strengthening Global MEL’s data collection, data feedback loops and MEL information systems development, which will support data-driven programmatic learnings and improvements at the field-level. This role supports furthering the organisational and MEL objectives through extensive data management, cleaning, and process improvements to ensure accurate insights and drive continuous learning at the field level. The Challenge Looking ahead to 2030, we are targeting reducing GHG emissions from cotton production by half, big cuts in synthetic pesticide use, improve soil health across our network, improve farm income and support women’s empowerment among farmers and farm workers. As a Senior Data Analysis Coordinator, you will focus on applying high-quality farmer field data to generate actionable insights that support Better Cotton’s 2030 impact ambitions. You will serve as a key point of contact for country teams on agronomical and practice adoption data, enabling effective analysis, visualisation, and interpretation across diverse contexts. Through collaboration, trainings, and targeted support, you will help align country-level implementation with global regenerative practice frameworks. Your work will ensure insights are delivered on time and used effectively by internal teams, partners, and donors to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Responsibilities We are seeking a motivated Senior Data Analysis Coordinator to join our Global MEL team. In this role, you will be responsible for: • Supporting agronomical understanding of farmer field data results analysis and reporting • Support practice adoption data management process and trainings • Support improvements to key MEL monitoring reference documents, technical tools and processes • Liaises with programme partners (including MEL and field staff) to support the data management and validation process and drive data quality improvements. • Collaborate with programme partners and field staff to understand ground-level realities and strategic needs within the practice adoption workstream. • Deliver phase-wise training on practice adoption to field staff in India and Pakistan. • Engages with researchers and sectoral sustainability initiatives to share data that contributes to robust research, accurate reporting, and shared learning. • Collaborates with in-country MEL, Assurance, Programmes, and Impact to support data feedback loops, informing the relevant focal points when there are important data trends, when data is finalised, and relevant data products are available. Experience The following skills, knowledge, and experience: Essential: • Minimum 5-6 years working experience in similar roles • Degree in environmental or social science, agriculture, agronomy, rural development, Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Data Quality • Practical experience in agronomy, including working with agricultural systems, farm-level data, or crop production contexts. • Demonstrated grasp of the key issues in sustainability and/or knowledge of sustainable agriculture, especially in the smallholder farming context. • Demonstrated experience in MEL, data processing, cleaning, and analysis including responsibility for maintaining databases, data structures, templates. • Experience applying statistics to real-world data analysis and research. • Experience assessing and improving data quality. • Strong IT skills, in particular with advanced Excel (PowerQuery, VBA macros), databases, business intelligence, analytics (PowerBI desirable) and programming tools (Python, R and/or SQL), to work with managing large datasets. • Background in global programme implementation, and agriculture projects. • Experience working in international, multicultural, or mission-driven environments. Desirable: • Experience in applying agronomic understanding of cotton production systems to the analysis, interpretation, and reporting of farm-level results data. • Demonstrated grasp of the key issues in sustainability and/or knowledge of sustainable agriculture especially in the smallholder farming context. • Experience in creating data visualisation for communication and learning purposes (preferably PowerBI). • Experience with impact reporting and creating data visualisation for communications purposes. • Good working knowledge of statistical analysis software (Python, R). • Experience with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS, or Google Earth Engine) for spatial analysis, mapping, or integrating geospatial data into programme monitoring and generating insights. • Experience working in or facilitating learning in an international, multi-cultural or mission-driven setting is an asset.
