(🚫 Freshers / Entry-level candidates need not apply) Job Location: Chennai – Work from Office only Working Timings (Mandatory): UK Shift: 1:30 PM – 11:00 PM IST Occasional weekend or after-hours support may be required during deployments or production issues About the Role: We are a capital markets technology solutions and services firm helping global financial institutions manage balance-sheet operations using scalable, innovative data platforms. We are looking for a hands-on Senior Data Engineer who can design, build, and deploy enterprise-scale data solutions. This role requires close collaboration with onshore and offshore teams, strong ownership, and deep technical expertise across the modern data stack. Key Responsibilities: • Design and deliver end-to-end data solutions from ingestion to analytics and reporting • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Matillion, Fivetran, SQL, and Python • Develop scalable data models supporting analytics and BI use cases • Work extensively with Snowflake, including automated and continuously refreshed pipelines • Analyze and document existing data architectures, lineage, and dependencies • Collaborate with project managers, analysts, data scientists, and client stakeholders • Implement data governance, quality, and regulatory compliance standards • Create automation workflows for orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and validation • Produce detailed design, test, and deployment documentation • Support production deployments and resolve end-to-end defects Mandatory Technical Skills: Data & Cloud Platforms • Snowflake (strong hands-on) • AWS and/or Azure • SQL Server, Oracle, OLAP, OLTP systems Programming & Analytics • Python (mandatory) • SnowPark, PySpark • Java / Shell / .Net / JavaScript (good to have) ETL & Orchestration • Matillion, Fivetran, SAP Data Services • Tidal, Workato BI & Visualization • Power BI • Qlik, SAP Web Intelligence (preferred) DevOps & Data Engineering Practices • Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins • JSON, XML, CSV data processing • Data modeling and enterprise data architecture Preferred Experience: • Financial Services / Capital Markets domain • Data warehousing, data lakes, migrations, re-platforming projects • Client-facing consulting roles Soft Skills: • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset • Excellent communication with global stakeholders • Ability to work independently and lead within agile teams • Consultative approach with attention to detail Why Join Us: • Work on enterprise-scale financial services/capital markets data platforms • Exposure to global clients and UK stakeholders • Opportunity to own solutions from design to production • Be part of a high-impact, technically strong data engineering team
