Sr Data Ops Analyst – Str. Finance & CRE Analytics We are currently hiring a Senior Data Operations Analyst (2–4 years experience) to support a leading global data and analytics firm serving structured finance, commercial real estate, and banking markets. This role sits within the Market Sourced Data (MSD) team in the Lending vertical and provides deeper ownership of loan data pipelines, quality frameworks, and cross-functional automation initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES • You will take ownership of recurring and ad hoc analytical workflows using SQL and Python, delivering structured insights to research, product, and business stakeholders with high accuracy and efficiency. • You will manage end-to-end loan data processing operations, including ingestion, transformation, validation, reconciliation, and reporting, ensuring operational excellence and SLA adherence. • You will lead structured QA testing efforts across data migration and automation initiatives, proactively identifying risks, workflow gaps, and control enhancements. • You will design and strengthen data quality controls, governance checkpoints, and validation frameworks across Market Sourced Data products. • You will independently investigate complex loan reporting discrepancies and data processing exceptions, performing root-cause analysis and driving resolution in collaboration with cross-functional teams. • You will contribute to the optimization of data pipelines and automation processes, improving scalability, turnaround time, and process efficiency. • You will maintain detailed documentation of business requirements, validation rules, and operational procedures to support audit readiness and knowledge continuity. • You will collaborate with global stakeholders across analytics, research, engineering, and product functions to ensure alignment between data operations and commercial objectives. • You will mentor junior analysts where applicable, fostering strong data governance practices and operational discipline within the team. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, Data Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline • 2–4 years of experience in data operations, financial data processing, analytics, or structured finance environments • Strong hands-on proficiency in SQL (Athena, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar querying platforms) • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookup functions, data validation, and reconciliation techniques • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, automation, or workflow optimization • Exposure to AWS services (Athena, S3, or similar cloud environments) preferred • Familiarity with Commercial Real Estate (CRE), structured finance, lending datasets, or financial market data strongly preferred WHAT MAKES YOU A STRONG FIT • Demonstrated ownership of operational data workflows and quality frameworks • Strong analytical mindset with structured problem-solving capabilities • Ability to balance operational rigor with analytical insight generation • Comfort working with large, complex financial datasets • Strong communication
