What you’ll be responsible for: As a Senior Data Scientist at Circle, you’ll work closely with business partners to better understand our products, better understand the payments ecosystem, and enable better decision-making with data. We are a passionate team with a deeply analytical approach and your work will support our mission to be a world-class company driven by data. One of our big bets is on payments. We’ve announced our Circle Payment Network and are committed to building an amazing payments product onchain. If you are curious about data, love going deep on problems across product and modeling, enjoy deriving insights, love to dig deep, have experience improving data products, have experience in payments, and are motivated by impacting business, we want to hear from you. What you’ll work on: • Partner with the payments team by translating the business needs to design and develop core tables, investigate product use, investigate how other payments products work onchain, and conduct research that will help us build the best products in class • Perform strategic analysis and research to identify new opportunities where business can be improved • Create data visualizations to translate analytic and data science results for broad understanding across the business • Build scalable automation solutions using SQL, dashboards, and other tools to create leverage for yourself and the payments team • Partner with leaders effectively employing clear and structured communication to tell a “story” focused on business insights & data • Occasionally, share your results with larger audiences to educate them on the payments product and ecosystem You will aspire to our four core values: • Multistakeholder - you have dedication and commitment to our customers, shareholders, employees and families and local communities. • Mindful - you seek to be respectful, an active listener and to pay attention to detail. • Driven by Excellence - you are driven by our mission and our passion for customer success which means you relentlessly pursue excellence, that you do not tolerate mediocrity and you work intensely to achieve your goals. • High Integrity - you seek open and honest communication, and you hold yourself to very high moral and ethical standards. What you’ll bring to Circle: • 5+ years of experience in data science. • Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language, such as R or Python, for data manipulation, analysis, and model. • Strong understanding of statistics and experience applying statistical methods to understand business outcomes and customer behavior. • Proven experience in planning and driving analytical and data science projects. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to convey complex findings and insights to both technical and non-technical partners. Strong preference for candidates with deep knowledge and/or experience in: • Payments products and services • Exploring blockchain data and exploring public transaction data Circle is on a mission to create an inclusive financial future, with transparency at our core.
