Our client, a leading data-driven technology firm, is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Data Scientist with expertise in predictive analytics to join their fully remote team. This role is crucial for developing advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms that drive business intelligence, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across the organization. You will leverage vast datasets to uncover insights and predict future trends. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and implement sophisticated predictive models and machine learning algorithms to address complex business challenges. Analyze large, complex datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. Build and deploy statistical models for forecasting, classification, clustering, and anomaly detection. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into data science problems and solutions. Perform data exploration, feature engineering, and model validation to ensure accuracy and reliability. Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences through visualizations and presentations. Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for model training and deployment. Contribute to the development of data strategies and the identification of new data-driven opportunities. Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the team's technical growth. Ensure the ethical and responsible use of data and AI models. Evaluate and select appropriate tools, technologies, and methodologies for data science projects. Write high-quality code for data analysis and model implementation in languages such as Python or R. Optimize model performance and scalability for production environments. Contribute to A/B testing frameworks and experimentation design. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on building and deploying predictive models. Proven expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms (e.g., regression, classification, time series analysis, deep learning), and experimental design. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R, and associated libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy). Experience with data manipulation and querying using SQL. Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex models and results effectively. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting. Experience in feature engineering and model interpretability techniques. A solid understanding of data governance and ethical AI principles.
