Senior Developer - Front End

About the job

Responsibilities • Responsible for implementing visual elements that users see and interact within a web application • Develop new user-facing features • Build reusable code and libraries for future use • Work with and contribute to internal component libraries • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs • Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability • Ensure changes are validated before submitting to back-end • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders • Help nurture the talent of our junior developers with hands-on mentoring • Develop functional and appealing web- and mobile-based applications based on usability • Provide website maintenance, bug fixing, and enhancements • Write functional requirement documents and specifications • Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines • Assist back-end developers with coding and troubleshooting • Contribute to API design discussions • Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms • Other duties as assigned Experience • 4+ years of experience working as a developer or a combination of education and experience in this field • Solid web experience and strong architecture skills to drive our solutions forward. Skills • Proficient understanding of React and TypeScript • Knowledge of architecting large single page applications • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3 • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools • Knowledge of GraphQL and working with a React GraphQL framework is a plus Education, Certifications, Licenses • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience Travel Requirements • As required
