As a Senior Director, Tech Program Management at Walmart Global Tech, you will lead a team of technical program managers and software developers to coordinate and manage large-scale, cross-functional projects. Your responsibilities will include managing software development projects, working closely with architects and engineering leaders, and contributing to architectural decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities: - Manage large software development projects and lead a team of technical program managers. - Work closely with architects and engineering leaders to ensure successful project completion. - Build strong relationships with stakeholders, define goals and deliverables for large-scale programs, and efficiently utilize engineering resources. - Utilize problem-solving and decision-making skills to navigate setbacks and obstacles effectively. - Lead quarterly planning efforts, secure commitments for program scopes, delivery dates, and resources, and manage cross-functional dependencies. - Guide and influence program stakeholders to focus on decision points, options for end outcomes, and solutions that unblock/de-risk programs. - Maintain transparency with all program stakeholders, including executives, on program status, issue resolutions, and decision-making. - Automate repeatable processes and tasks, implement tools to reduce overhead, and improve the velocity of engineering teams. - Hire, train, mentor, and provide career development opportunities for team members. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent. - 22+ years of overall experience with 16+ years as a Technical Program Manager in software delivery. - Strong leadership skills and experience in managing and motivating teams. - Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and leading teams, setting clear goals, and providing constructive feedback. - Experience in system/platform design concepts, architecture, technical design, services, APIs, and technologies. - Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, and techniques. - Strong communication skills in verbal and written forms. - Deep understanding of tools like JIRA, Big Picture, Confluence, etc. - Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, PgMP, Prince 2, SAFe, CSPO, CSM, CSP.
