This role will be instrumental in driving business growth through data-driven insights, strategic decision-making, ... and effective cross-functional liaising. The person will be responsible for analysing customer data, providing actionable insights, shaping the company's strategy, and automating reporting architectures to have best-in-industry data reporting. About The Role The Marketing Insights & Analytics function at MakeMyTrip plays a pivotal role in driving business growth and innovation through data-driven insights and strategic decision-making. We collaborate with marketing leaders and cross-functional teams to define key performance metrics, establish analytics frameworks, and drive optimization in marketing strategies. What Will You Be Doing • Customer Insights: Utilize data analysis to gain deep insights into customer behaviour, preferences, and trends, helping the company understand its target audience better. • Business Understanding: Develop a strong understanding of MakeMyTrip's business goals, strategies, and market dynamics to align data-driven insights with organizational objectives. • Data Analysis: Utilize tools such as Excel, SQL, and Python to collect, clean, and analyse large datasets, identifying patterns and opportunities for growth. • Reporting and Data Visualization: Create clear and concise reports and automated dashboards to communicate insights effectively to leadership and cross-functional teams. • Platform Automation: Work cross-functionally to on-board new analytics platforms, adopt evolving & best-in-industry technologies to run consumer analytics, and help achieve critical business objectives. • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture, setting clear goals, and providing coaching and feedback. • Leadership: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine business strategies, leveraging data insights to drive decision-making. Qualification & Experience • MBA from a reputed institute. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (B. Tech. or equivalent). • 2-5 years of professional experience in analytics, data science, or consumer insights roles. • Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis. • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, MixPanel, Google Analytics). • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Proven track record of delivering business impact through data-driven insights. Key Success Factors Of The Role • The success of the Analytics Lead in the Marketing Analytics and Engineering team will be determined by several critical factors: • Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including Excel, SQL, Python, and data analytics tools, is crucial. The Analytics Lead should demonstrate strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of statistical methods to derive actionable insights from complex datasets. • Adaptability and Innovation: The ability to adapt to changing business requirements and technological advancements is essential. The Analytics Lead should demonstrate a willingness to embrace innovation, explore new methodologies and tools, and drive continuous improvement in the Data Analytics function. • Business & Growth-mindset: The ability to understand how to leverage data analytics to drive business growth and competitive advantage is essential. The Analytics Lead should have a clear understanding of MakeMyTrip's business goals and market dynamics and articulate a roadmap for achieving them through data-driven insights. • Communication and Stakeholder Management: The Analytics Lead should possess good communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
