About the job

Role Summary WHF is looking for a Senior Executive – New Business Development / Marketing to drive market expansion and new business development for forged and machined components. The role focuses on lead generation, RFQ evaluation, proposal preparation, customer engagement and negotiation, while coordinating with Quality, Design and Production to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities · Market Expansion & Lead Generation – Identify and secure new business opportunities in domestic and international markets for forged and machined components. · Client Relationship Management – Develop and maintain strong relationships with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, ensuring long-term partnerships and customer satisfaction. · RFQ Handling & Feasibility – Collaborate with Quality and Design teams to evaluate RFQs, assess feasibility, and prepare cost-effective technical proposals. · Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth – Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, drive profitability, and enhance market share. · Industry Research & Competitor Analysis – Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to refine business development initiatives and growth plans. · Cross-Functional Collaboration – Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Design teams to ensure seamless execution of customer projects and prompt issue resolution. · Customer Audits & Technical Presentations – Support audits, conduct technical presentations, and demonstrate manufacturing capabilities to establish credibility with customers. · Business Negotiations & Pricing Strategy – Lead price negotiations, contract discussions, and ensure competitive pricing while maintaining profitability and business sustainability. Must-Have Requirements · Education: DME / BE in Mechanical Engineering. · Experience: 3 to 6 years (preferred 3+ years hands-on BD/Sales). · Experience in a forging company will be an added advantage. · Minimum 2 years’ experience in direct customer handling with negotiation skills and strong techno-commercial background. Key Skills & Competencies · Knowledge of forging & machining processes (closed die, upset, ring rolling, heat treatment impact). · Good communication and presentation skills. · Ability to coordinate cross-functionally and handle customer interactions professionally. · Techno-commercial understanding for RFQ response, costing alignment, and negotiation. Success Metrics (KRAs) · Sales Plan Vs Actual (Monthly / Annually) · Inventories within planned levels.
