Our client, a prominent financial institution, is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their fully remote finance division. This role is critical in supporting strategic decision-making through robust financial modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, providing insights that drive business growth and financial stability. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain complex financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning. • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key performance indicators (KPIs), providing actionable insights to senior management. • Prepare comprehensive financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for various stakeholders, including executive leadership. • Conduct variance analysis between actual results, budgets, and forecasts, investigating discrepancies and providing explanations. • Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting cycles. • Assist in the evaluation of new business initiatives, investments, and potential mergers or acquisitions from a financial perspective. • Monitor industry trends and competitor performance to identify potential risks and opportunities. • Collaborate with accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely financial close processes. • Streamline and improve financial reporting processes and tools for greater efficiency and accuracy. • Provide financial guidance and support to operational departments. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or investment banking. • Proven expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and forecasting methodologies. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, macros) and financial modeling software. • Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A) software (e.g., Hyperion, Anaplan, Tableau) is highly desirable. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote setting. • Professional certifications such as CFA or CPA are a plus.
