Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is actively seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their finance team. This is a fully remote position, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work from anywhere within India. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, providing key insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis. - Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations for senior management. - Assist in the annual budgeting process, working closely with various departments to gather inputs and consolidate budgets. - Monitor key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into drivers of performance. - Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies. - Support business unit leaders with financial insights and data-driven recommendations. - Perform ad-hoc financial analysis as required by management. - Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting systems. - Stay abreast of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices. - Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure proper financial reporting and compliance. - Develop and streamline financial processes and reporting templates. - Assist in the preparation of financial projections for new business initiatives and investments. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. - A professional certification such as CFA or CA is a significant advantage. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or a related role. - Proven expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting. - Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. - Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros). - Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly and concisely. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment. - High level of accuracy and attention to detail. - Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus. - Proactive approach to identifying and addressing financial issues.
