Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Fleet Operations Manager to lead their logistics and transportation initiatives in a fully remote capacity. This role is crucial for optimizing fleet performance, driving efficiency, and ensuring the seamless movement of goods across various regions. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of fleet management, supply chain logistics, and transportation regulations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies, managing vendor relationships, analyzing fleet data, and implementing cost-saving measures. As a remote-first professional, you will leverage technology and communication tools to effectively manage a distributed team and oversee fleet operations. Your expertise will be instrumental in enhancing delivery times, reducing operational costs, and ensuring safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute strategic plans for fleet operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Oversee daily fleet activities, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, maintenance vendors, and other suppliers. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for fleet operations, such as on-time delivery rates, fuel efficiency, and vehicle utilization. Ensure compliance with all local, regional, and national transportation regulations and safety standards. Analyze fleet data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement. Implement technology solutions to enhance fleet visibility, tracking, and management. Develop and manage the fleet operations budget. Lead and mentor a team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers in a remote environment. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members. Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for the fleet. Investigate and resolve operational issues and customer complaints related to transportation.
