Senior Frontend Architect & Engineering Lead

As a Senior Frontend Architect & Engineering Lead at a fast-growing US-based technology startup, your role will involve owning the complete frontend architecture, leading a team of frontend engineers, and collaborating with various teams to ensure aligned architecture and seamless delivery. You will have direct exposure to US leadership and play a significant role in influencing the product direction. Key Responsibilities: - Own the complete frontend architecture, including component systems, design systems, performance standards, and long-term scalability. - Architect and build a modern enterprise UI from scratch without template-based frameworks. - Lead a team of 12 frontend engineers initially, scaling the team to 46 engineers over time. - Define and enforce coding standards, architectural guidelines, code reviews, and best practices. - Build real-time, data-heavy dashboards with various elements like charts, tables, timelines, and streaming updates. - Translate complex enterprise workflows into clear and intuitive user experiences. - Collaborate closely with backend, Dev Ops, UI/UX, and product teams for aligned architecture and seamless delivery. - Drive interviewing, hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and performance development for the frontend team. - Work directly with US-based leadership on architecture decisions, roadmap planning, and phased delivery. Technical Requirements (Must-Have): - Frontend & UI Architecture experience of 10-15+ years. - Deep expertise in React, Type Script, Next.js. - Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui or MUI, React Query / Tan Stack Query, Tan Stack Table or MUI Data Grid, Recharts / ECharts, etc. - Proven experience in building UIs handling large datasets, real-time updates, and high-frequency events. - Strong understanding of modular, scalable design systems and performance optimization. - Solid experience integrating frontend applications with complex enterprise APIs. - Exposure to backend systems like Python (Fast API preferred), Postgre SQL, Open Search / Elasticsearch, Web Sockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE), etc. - Familiarity with OIDC, OAuth2, JWT-based authentication, and RBAC models. - Prior experience leading teams of 5-10 engineers with strong communication skills and structured problem-solving abilities. - Academic background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields. Good To Have: - Experience with monitoring, observability, AIOps, operations platforms like Datadog, Grafana, Splunk, etc. - Exposure to incident, alerting, logs, metrics, and service health workflows. - Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and AI/LLM-driven UX.
