About the Role We are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to architect and deliver high-performance, secure, and accessible frontend applications for an enterprise retirement fintech platform serving millions of users. This is a deeply technical, hands-on role. You will own frontend architecture, performance, state management, SSR / CSR strategies, and security-critical UI flows in a regulated environment. Key Responsibilities • Architect and build production-grade React and Angular applications • Implement SSR / CSR / ISR using Next.js with performance and SEO trade-offs • Own state management architecture (Redux Toolkit / Zustand / React Context) • Optimize frontend performance : Ø Core Web Vitals Ø Bundle size, code splitting, lazy loading Ø Rendering and re-render control • Integrate and optimize REST & GraphQL APIs (Apollo Client / React Query / SWR) • Build or support Node.js BFF services for frontend-optimized data access • Implement WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility (ARIA, keyboard navigation, screen readers) • Enforce frontend security best practices : Ø XSS / CSRF prevention Ø OAuth2 / OIDC-based auth flows Ø CSP and secure headers • Build reusable components and contribute to design systems • Write and maintain unit, integration, and E2E tests • Mentor engineers and participate in architectural decision-making • Own frontend production issues and performance regressions Required Skills (Non-Negotiable) • 6+ years of frontend engineering experience • Expert-level React (Hooks, lifecycle, reconciliation, performance tuning) • Strong Angular experience (Angular 12+, RxJS, change detection) • Advanced TypeScript (strict configs, generics, complex typing) • Proven Next.js experience (SSR, SSG, ISR, routing) • Strong state management experience : Ø Redux Toolkit / Zustand / React Context • API integration expertise : Ø REST Ø GraphQL (Apollo Client preferred) • Strong CSS and styling knowledge : Ø CSS Modules / SCSS / styled-components / Tailwind • Deep understanding of : Ø Core Web Vitals Ø Lighthouse metrics • Hands-on accessibility implementation (WCAG 2.1 AA) • Frontend security knowledge : Ø XSS, CSRF, CSP • Testing experience : Ø Jest Ø React Testing Library Ø Cypress or Playwright • Production experience with Git-based workflows and CI / CD Good-to-Have (Strong Advantage) • FinTech / banking / regulated systems experience • Micro-frontend or Module Federation exposure • Data visualization (Ag-Grid, D3, Recharts, Chart.js) • Real-time features (WebSockets, Socket.io) • Design systems / Storybook • Frontend observability (Sentry, LogRocket, Datadog RUM) What We Are Looking For • A hands-on senior engineer, not just a reviewer • Someone who has designed, scaled, and fixed frontend systems in production • Strong ownership of performance, accessibility, and security • Comfortable working in audit-heavy, compliance-driven environments • Can balance speed with correctness Work Mode • Remote / Hybrid (as per client alignment) Interview Process • Deep technical screening (React, TypeScript, architecture) • Performance + state management discussion • Code review / system design round • Final client interaction (if required) Send your resume to aishwarya@mappoptimist.com
