About the Role As a Senior Frontend Engineer (5+ years experience) on the founding team, you will architect and build the frontend systems that power millions of learners in real time. This is not a UI-only role. This is not a feature-delivery role. What You’ll Do - Architect scalable frontend systems designed for millions of users. - Build high-performance React/Next.js applications with clean structure. - Design modular, maintainable frontend architecture. - Optimize rendering performance for heavy AI-driven and visualization components. - Handle large curriculum datasets efficiently (virtualization, caching, state architecture). - Implement real-time AI interaction interfaces with low latency. - Ensure performance under network constraints common in Indian regions. - Build and maintain a scalable design system with consistency. - Collaborate closely with backend and ML teams for smooth integration. - Identify bottlenecks before they become production failures. - Own performance metrics (LCP, TTI, CLS, bundle size, memory usage). - Ship production-ready code — not prototypes. Minimum Qualifications (Required) - 5+ years of hands-on frontend engineering experience. - Deep expertise in React (or similar modern framework). - Strong understanding of frontend architecture patterns. - Experience handling high-traffic or high-load applications. - Proven experience optimizing performance in real production systems. - Strong understanding of state management (Redux, Zustand, or equivalent). - Experience with SSR / Next.js or similar frameworks. - Strong understanding of browser internals and rendering behavior. - Experience with frontend scalability strategies (lazy loading, code splitting, virtualization). - Ability to debug complex production issues independently. - Strong system thinking and problem-solving ability. Preferred Qualifications - Experience building applications with 1M+ users. - Experience integrating AI or real-time systems in frontend. - Exposure to WebGL / Three.js for interactive visualizations. - Experience with frontend monitoring tools (Sentry, Lighthouse, Web Vitals). - Experience optimizing for low-bandwidth environments. - Background in edtech or large content-based platforms. - Strong product intuition — not just code delivery.
