Position Summary We are hiring a Senior Full-Stack Developer & Product Owner to assist the development and strategic direction of web-based applications emphasizing GIS data integration, automated reporting, and renewable energy optimization. This role blends engineering expertise with product vision, requiring extensive knowledge of full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and GIS systems. We will drive the creation of innovative tools that support the expansion of renewable energy projects nationwide. Core Responsibilities Product Strategy & Ownership: • Define and execute product roadmaps for GIS-based web solutions. • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications. • Lead product lifecycle from concept through launch and continuous improvement. Full-Stack Application Development: • Develop scalable, secure frontend applications using React and Mapbox. • Design robust backend systems and RESTful APIs using FastAPI and GeoServer. • Create intuitive, data-rich interfaces for internal users and external clients. GIS & Spatial Data Expertise: • Process and manage geospatial datasets (e.g., KML, Shapefiles, GeoJSON). • Develop interactive mapping tools using Mapbox. • Automate the production of site-specific GIS reports for renewable energy projects. Cloud Infrastructure & Deployment: • Deploy and manage applications on AWS infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3). • Implement robust CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes). • Optimize infrastructure performance, reliability, and monitoring. Leadership & Collaboration: • Lead technical design, mentor developers, and foster a collaborative team environment. • Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams (GIS analysts, product management, engineering). • Align technical execution with product vision and business objectives. Education Requirements • Bachelors/Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Geoinformatics, or related field. Technical Skills and Experience • Proven experience managing software products from concept to deployment. • Strong skills in React, Mapbox, FastAPI, and GeoServer. • Expertise in GIS data, spatial analysis, and mapping frameworks. • Proficiency with cloud services (AWS) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes). • Familiarity with agile methodologies. • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical abilities. Preferred Qualifications: • Background in renewable energy, site planning, or environmental modelling. • Experience with PostGIS, QGIS, or similar platforms. • Knowledge of large-scale geospatial data processing and reporting frameworks.
