Senior Full Stack MERN Engineer (Expert Level) We need a Senior Full Stack MERN Engineer for a long-term engagement. We only want high-performers who are trustworthy, autonomous, and ready to tackle complex architectural challenges alongside a veteran distributed team. What you will do • Design and maintain scalable micro-service architectures for large web applications using MERN stack. • Write high-quality, optimized code for Front End (ReactJS) and Back End services (TypeScript, Koa, Express, Typegoose). • Implement gRPC protocols to enable seamless and efficient communication between services. • Manage complex storage layers, utilizing both MySQL and MongoDB to optimize data integrity and performance. • Collaborate with the existing team during IST daytime hours (including daily 9:00 AM IST stand-ups) to share knowledge and conduct architecture reviews. • Enforce software engineering best practices, including writing clean, well-documented code and conducting rigorous code reviews. • Develop comprehensive unit tests using Jest to ensure work product reliability and stability. • Leverage AI tools (e.g., OpenAI API, Gemini, Claude, Cursor) to enhance productivity and integrate AI-driven features into our product. • Streamline CI/CD pipelines and utilize automation tools to ensure smooth deployment strategies. • Work efficiently within JIRA and AWS environments to manage tasks and infrastructure. Who you are • You have 6+ years of proven experience as a MERN Stack engineer. • Demonstrated expertise in ReactJS, TypeScript, and Node.js frameworks (Koa, Express). • Proven track record of creating architectural patterns for large, scalable web applications. • Familiar with GraphQL and gRPC protocols. • Strong experience with MySQL/RDS and MongoDB. • You are a High Performer capable of writing modular, reusable, and fully tested code. • Experienced with Github and version control workflows. • Familiar with AI/ML concepts and possess a strong interest in developing AI-driven features. • You are trustworthy and self-driven, capable of thriving in a fully remote, distributed team based in India. • Ready for a challenge: You are prepared for a rigorous interview process, including an on-camera technical assessment (Top 1.5% pass rate). Details & How to apply • Engagement Type: Full-time “Independent Contractor” • Location: Remote and distributed in India. You must be available full-time during IST daytime hours and are required to attend daily standup calls at 9:00A IST. • Compensation: $2,800 to $3,800 USD/month net, based on skills, experience, and performance in the Interview Process.
