With over 20+ years of expertise in hydrology and hydrogeology, we work at the intersection of field science, digital modelling, and strategic decision-making to help organizations manage groundwater, surface water, flood risk, and long-term water sustainability. **Role Overview:** We are looking for a Senior Hydrogeologist who brings deep field expertise, strong analytical capability, and the maturity to lead complex hydrogeological studies end-to-end. This is a core technical leadership role, responsible for shaping investigations, mentoring teams, and delivering insights that directly influence infrastructure, regulatory, and ESG decisions. **Key Responsibilities:** **Technical & Project Leadership** • Lead hydrogeological investigations including groundwater resource estimation, aquifer characterization, and recharge potential analysis • Design and supervise pumping tests, infiltration studies, baseline water studies, and aquifer mapping • Conduct groundwater impact assessments and sustainability audits for large campuses and industrial sites • Lead flood risk assessments (FRA) and stormwater management studies in coordination with hydrology teams • Develop water budgeting, water balance models, and water neutrality frameworks **Modelling, GIS & Digital Integration** • Use GIS and remote sensing tools for aquifer stress analysis, watershed assessment, and spatial modelling • Contribute to GIS-based hydrogeological models, predictive water risk maps, and digital dashboards • Interpret geophysical and geological data (resistivity surveys, subsurface mapping) to support decision-making **Regulatory & Compliance** • Prepare and review compliance-ready documentation for CGWA, SPCB, MoEFCC and other regulatory bodies • Support clients during regulatory submissions, audits, and approval processes • Ensure all studies meet current regulatory and scientific standards **Client & Team Engagement** • Act as a technical advisor to clients, explaining complex findings in clear, decision-ready language • Mentor junior hydrogeologists and field teams • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across hydrology, GIS, geology, and engineering **Required Qualifications & Experience** • Master’s degree in Hydrogeology / Geology / Earth Sciences / Water Resources or related discipline • 8–15+ years of hands-on experience in hydrogeological investigations and consulting • Strong experience in: • Aquifer characterization & groundwater modelling • Pumping tests and field investigations • Water audits and sustainability studies • Flood risk and stormwater-related assessments • Proven experience with GIS and remote sensing applications • Solid understanding of Indian groundwater regulations and approval processes • Ability to independently lead projects and interface with senior client stakeholders **What We Look For** • Strong scientific grounding with practical, on-ground judgement • Ability to think beyond reports and focus on long-term water reliability • Comfort working across field, data, and client environments • A consulting mindset - not just execution, but insight **Why Join GRM Capital** • Work on high-impact infrastructure and corporate water challenges • Be part of a firm that values science, integrity, and long-term thinking • Opportunity to shape next-generation, tech-enabled water consulting • High ownership, visibility, and technical influence **How to Apply** Interested candidates can reach out with their profile to geomkrao@grmcapital.in
