About the job

Role & Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced investment professional with deep exposure to Private Equity, Pre-IPO markets, and Special-Situation or Distressed-Asset investments. The Senior Investment Analyst / Associate will play a strategic role in managing the end-to- end investment lifecycle — from deal origination and evaluation to execution, portfolio monitoring, and exit planning across the Fund’s three core investment verticals. This role demands a combination of analytical depth, transaction execution capability, and strategic judgment, ideal for professionals from buy-side investing, AIFs, or investment banking backgrounds who are passionate about private market investing. Key Responsibilities Deal Origination & Pipeline Management- • Source and evaluate investment opportunities across Pre-IPO, Private Equity, Real- Asset, and Special-Situation spaces. • Leverage relationships with institutional networks, merchant bankers, investment bankers, and family offices. • Identify Pre-IPO / QIB opportunities, distressed assets, and real-asset investments aligned with the Fund’s thesis. • Maintain a live deal pipeline tracker with detailed deal summaries, valuations, and progress updates. • Conduct preliminary screenings, management discussions, and develop investment rationales for shortlisting. Financial Modelling & Valuation- • Build integrated 3-statement financial models, LBO and DCF frameworks, and scenario-based simulations. • Conduct valuation benchmarking through comparable company and precedent transaction analyses. • Perform credit assessments and asset-level cash flow analysis for special-situation and real-asset investments. • Prepare return analyses, IRR projections, and downside-risk assessments for Investment Committee (IC) evaluation. Due Diligence & Investment Execution- • Lead and coordinate end-to-end due diligence across financial, legal, technical, and tax aspects. • Engage with external consultants, auditors, and legal counsel to validate assumptions and ensure deal integrity. • Draft comprehensive Investment Memoranda (IMs) and Transaction Notes for IC discussions. • Support term sheet negotiations, transaction structuring, and closure in collaboration with legal and compliance teams. Portfolio Monitoring & Value Enhancement- • Track quarterly and annual performance of portfolio companies and special-situation assets. • Evaluate business plan adherence, covenant compliance, and key financial metrics. • Develop MIS dashboards and performance trackers for internal and LP-level reporting. • Recommend value-creation initiatives, follow-on investments, and structured exits based on performance insights. Market Intelligence & Research- • Conduct sectoral and thematic research across Pre-IPO, real-estate, and special-situation markets. • Monitor macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes (SEBI, RBI, IBC), and policy developments affecting private markets. • Contribute to Investment Committee presentations, LP reports, and portfolio commentary. • Identify emerging themes, co-investment opportunities, and strategic sectors for future fund deployment. Fund Operations & Compliance Support- • Assist in fund reporting, SEBI compliance, and valuation reviews with auditors and custodians. • Support quarterly and annual LP reporting and performance analytics. • Collaborate with finance, legal, and fund administration teams to maintain robust governance and audit trails. Ideal Candidate Qualifications • MBA (Finance), CA, or CFA (Charterholder / Level III Candidate) preferred. • 5–10 years of experience in Private Equity, AIF, Investment Banking, Family Office, or Special Situations investing. • Proven experience in executing Pre-IPO, QIB, distressed debt, or real-asset transactions. Skills & Competencies • Strong expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment analysis. • In-depth understanding of deal structuring, transaction documentation, and fund operations. • Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret complex financial data. • Strong presentation, report writing, and communication skills. • Familiarity with databases such as Capital IQ, PitchBook, Tracxn, or Venture Intelligence. • High integrity, professionalism, and a collaborative approach aligned with fund objectives.
