Senior Java Developer

About the job

Responsibilities • Design, develop, and enhance Java-based microservices and backend components using Spring Boot. • Build and maintain secure, scalable, and cloud-enabled services integrated with AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda, etc.). • Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database integrations using DB2. • Participate in the full SDLC including requirements analysis, architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and support. • Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to define solution architecture and technical standards. • Ensure adherence to best coding practices, maintain clean code, and conduct code reviews. • Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide root cause analysis, resolutions, and performance improvements. • Work closely with DevOps teams to establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployment processes, and infrastructure automation. • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and backlog refinement. • Identify and resolve system bottlenecks, scalability challenges, and performance issues. • Contribute to application modernization initiatives, cloud migration efforts, and improvement of design patterns. • Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and mentor junior developers to enhance team capability. SKILLS Must have • Strong hands-on expertise in Java, including modern versions (Java 8+). • Deep experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and microservices architecture. • Solid working experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, EC2, IAM, Lambda). • Strong proficiency in DB2 and SQL (queries, optimization, performance tuning). • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and backend integrations. • Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and API design. • Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and build tools such as Maven. • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver reliable, maintainable code. • Strong knowledge of SDLC, design patterns, and modern engineering practices. • Excellent communication, stakeholder collaboration, and teamwork skills.
