Job Description: Senior Jewellery Designer Location: BKC – Capital One Department: Design & Product Development Reports To: Head – Design Scope: Creative Design | Collection Development | Trend & Concept Direction Role Overview The Senior Jewellery Designer will be the creative force shaping Keemti’s design identity. This role focuses on concept creation, aesthetic direction, trend forecasting, innovation, and craftsmanship excellence. The designer will lead the development of original, modern, globally inspired jewellery collections that resonate with the contemporary Indian woman. This role demands strong creativity, an exceptional eye for detail, and mastery of the entire design-to-sample process. Key Responsibilities 1. Creative Direction & Concept Development • Lead the creation of design concepts, themes, and seasonal design stories. • Develop mood boards, inspiration decks, and visual narratives for every collection. • Translate global fashion, art, and cultural influences into fresh jewellery ideas. • Define the aesthetic language for each product category. 2. Collection Design & Aesthetic Execution • Design original jewellery across rings, earrings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, and bangles. • Create cohesive capsule collections with strong design identity. • Maintain a balance between creative innovation and everyday wearability. • Ensure each design reflects modern luxury, lightness, and refined detail. 3. Sketching, CAD Direction & Technical Design • Produce high-quality sketches—hand-drawn or digital. • Guide CAD artists with precise visual instructions and corrections. • Review CADs to ensure proportional accuracy, stone placement, weight optimisation, and manufacturability. • Convert creative sketches into technically sound, production-ready designs. 4. Innovation, Craftsmanship & New Techniques • Introduce new stone-setting styles, silhouettes, metal textures, and finishing ideas. • Explore lightweight construction, minimal luxury, and contemporary Indian design cues. • Stay updated with global jewellery techniques and emerging design technologies. 5. Sampling & Prototype Development • Oversee sample creation from concept to final piece. • Review prototypes for detailing, finishing, comfort, and diamond brilliance. • Make creative and technical refinements to achieve the perfect final product. 6. Trend Research & Market Insight • Study international jewellery trends, fashion weeks, top global brands, and design movements. • Understand consumer behavior and modern Indian styling preferences. • Anticipate upcoming trends and propose new ideas for future collections. 7. Visual Presentation & Design Documentation • Prepare design boards, technical sheets, CAD packs, and collection presentations. • Maintain an organised archive of designs, sketches, and specifications. • Present designs to leadership with strong storytelling and clarity. 8. Cross-Functional Creative Collaboration • Work with merchandising to align on price points and product gaps. • Coordinate with production for sampling and improving feasibility. • Support marketing with creative insights for photoshoots, campaigns, and brand visuals.
