Job Description We are seeking a skilled Kotlin/Quarkus/Open API Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions (back end platform components and services) that meet our clients' needs. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient service APIs and backend platform components using Kotlin, Quarkus & Open API skillset. • Implement RESTful APIs and integrations with various third-party endpoints. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. • Write high quality, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices. • Perform peer code reviews, documentation and provide constructive feedback to team members. • Demonstrate experience in unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability. • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance. • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance development processes. • Provide guidance to fellow team members to adhere to industry practices to deliver clean code keeping performance in check. • Foster teamwork, collaboration and lead by example. • People and Stakeholder management by close interaction with client and internal stakeholders. Experience: • 6 to 10 years of professional experience in software development. • Proven experience in developing applications using Kotlin and Quarkus. • Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation. • Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud technologies. • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). • Experience in setting up continuous integration processes and automated unit/UI testing. • Experience with OpenAPI for API documentation and design. Must Have Skills: • Proficiency in Kotlin programming language. • Strong knowledge of Open API specifications and tools. • Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL). • Understanding of Agile scrum methodologies and software development life cycle. Nice to have skills: • AWS/Azure or any cloud exposure. • Experience with Quarkus framework for building Java services. • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular). • Exposure to tools – JIRA, bitbucket, sonar. • Experience with service testing frameworks and methodologies.
