Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce enterprise, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Logistics Operations Manager to lead their remote operations team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of goods throughout the supply chain. As a fully remote position, you will have the autonomy to manage and optimize logistics processes from your home office. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of supply chain management, warehousing, transportation, and inventory control, coupled with exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage all aspects of the logistics and supply chain operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management. • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery times. • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and vendors. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, such as on-time delivery rates, inventory accuracy, and transportation costs. • Implement and maintain robust inventory control systems to ensure accuracy and minimize stockouts or overstock situations. • Identify and implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency. • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards. • Lead, mentor, and develop a remote team of logistics professionals. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to align logistics strategies with business objectives. • Manage the logistics budget and ensure cost-effective operations. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, with a significant portion in operations management. • Proven experience in managing warehousing, transportation, and inventory control. • Demonstrated success in optimizing logistics processes and reducing costs. • In-depth knowledge of supply chain software and technologies, including WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and TMS (Transportation Management Systems). • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. • Strong leadership and team management abilities, particularly in a remote setting. • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. • Proficiency in using remote collaboration tools and project management software. • Experience working with e-commerce or retail logistics is highly desirable.
