Our client is a rapidly expanding e-commerce enterprise seeking a highly organized and results-driven Senior Logistics Operations Manager to oversee their supply chain and warehousing operations. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within India, contributing to a global team. You will be responsible for optimizing all aspects of the logistics network, ensuring efficient movement of goods, and maintaining high standards of inventory management and delivery performance. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, a passion for process improvement, and exceptional leadership skills. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic plans for logistics operations to enhance efficiency and reduce costs across the supply chain. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and vendors, negotiating contracts and service level agreements. Oversee inventory management, warehousing, and order fulfillment processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations and eliminate bottlenecks. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards, and customs requirements for domestic and international shipments. Manage and mentor a team of logistics coordinators and warehouse supervisors, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Utilize advanced logistics software and technologies to track shipments, manage inventory, and optimize routes. Develop and execute contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain. Prepare regular reports on logistics performance, cost analysis, and operational efficiency for senior management. Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management, with a proven track record of success in a remote setting. Extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS). Demonstrated experience in process optimization, cost reduction, and performance improvement. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis. Experience with e-commerce logistics and international shipping regulations is highly preferred. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote work environment.
