Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: • Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of rotary machines – from selection, installation, and commissioning to maintenance and decommissioning. • Drive reliability engineering initiatives to reduce downtime and improve machine availability. • Provide expert technical guidance on root cause analysis (RCA) and failure investigations. Strategy & Planning: • Develop and implement asset management strategies for rotary equipment aligned with business objectives. • Create preventive and predictive maintenance programs using RCM (Reliability-Centered Maintenance) or CBM (Condition-Based Monitoring) techniques. • Drive CAPEX planning and budgeting for new equipment and upgrades. Operational Excellence: • Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance for rotary machinery operations. • Monitor KPIs related to machine reliability, MTBF/MTTR, maintenance cost, and energy efficiency. • Lead troubleshooting and turnaround activities during plant shutdowns or overhauls. Team & Vendor Management: • Lead a team of mechanical, maintenance, and reliability engineers; provide coaching and performance management. • Manage OEM relationships, AMC vendors, and third-party contractors for rotary equipment. • Oversee spare parts inventory planning and vendor development. Innovation & Digitalization: • Evaluate and adopt new technologies such as vibration monitoring, thermal imaging, and IoT-based condition monitoring. • Promote energy optimization and sustainability in machinery operations. Key Requirements: • Education: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering; M.E./M.Tech preferred. • Certifications in condition monitoring, vibration analysis, or reliability engineering (e.g., ISO 18436, CMRP) are a plus. • Experience: 15–25 years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance, engineering, or project roles. • At least 5–7 years in a leadership or senior management role. • Industry Background (Preferred): Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Refineries, Power Plants, Heavy Machinery, or Process Industries. • Skills: In-depth knowledge of rotary machine design, maintenance, and failure modes; Proficiency in using CMMS (SAP PM, Maximo, etc.) and condition monitoring tools; Strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder communication skills.
Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
- M.E./M.Tech preferred
- Certifications in condition monitoring, vibration analysis, or reliability engineering
