Job Summary: We are hiring a high-caliber Senior Manager – Logistics & Distribution to lead large-scale, fast-paced operations in Dakar. This role is designed for a performance-driven professional with strong experience in FMCG distribution, fleet optimization, and last-mile delivery. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, cost control, and service reliability across the entire logistics chain in a high-growth environment. Key Responsibilities (Performance-Focused): • Own end-to-end logistics and distribution performance (warehouse → dispatch → last-mile delivery) • Drive strict KPI management: OTIF (On-Time-In-Full), cost per delivery, fleet utilization, drop size optimization • Design and enforce efficient route planning and delivery models to maximize coverage and minimize cost • Lead large fleets (trucks, vans) with full accountability for fuel control, maintenance, and driver productivity • Implement discipline-driven systems for tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement • Optimize warehouse operations (layout, loading time, dispatch efficiency, inventory flow) • Eliminate inefficiencies and reduce leakages across the supply chain • Align daily with Sales to ensure demand fulfillment without overstocking or delivery delays • Build, train, and enforce accountability across logistics teams (drivers, supervisors, planners) • Ensure strict adherence to safety, compliance, and operational SOPs Candidate Profile: • 8–12+ years of experience in logistics & distribution, preferably in FMCG, bottled water, or high-frequency delivery models • Strong exposure to last-mile delivery, route optimization, and fleet-heavy operations • Experience managing large teams and multi-layered operations structures • Proven track record in cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and KPI-driven environments • Hands-on, disciplined, and execution-focused mindset (not only desk role) • Experience in emerging markets / challenging distribution environments is a strong advantage • Proficiency in Excel, logistics dashboards, and ERP systems What We Offer: • Attractive expat salary package (tax-efficient structure possible) • Accommodation, transport, and other expat benefits • High-impact leadership role with full operational ownership reporting to the MD • Opportunity to build and scale a structured logistics system in a growing FMCG business How to Apply: Apply via Indeed with your updated CV.
