Senior Marketing and Proposal Quality Specialist

CDM Smith is looking for a Senior Marketing and Proposal Quality Specialist to join our team. This position will serve as reviewer of content prepared by India-based writers and designers in the Marketing Services Center (MSC) before it is returned to the requestors who are based in the United States and Australia. As a member of the CDM Smith team, you would contribute to our mission by: • Establishing a formal quality process and user guide for the India-based Marketing Services Center • Evaluating materials prepared by the MSC for accuracy, consistency, spelling, grammar, punctuation, copyrights, and sentence structure • Identifying areas for improvement in language, tone, and presentation. • Verifying facts and sources of data • Ensuring compliance with the expectations set forth by the requestor, including requirements that come from the client in the request for proposal or other documentation • Following established style guides such as The Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press Stylebook, CDM Smith Style Guide, and/or client style guides. • Providing timely, constructive feedback to each writer or designer in a way that promotes learning and adaptation of corrective practices • Delivering workshops to the MSC team on various topics relating to quality to build their knowledge and skills and to share lessons learned • Performs other duties as required. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Technical Writing, Technical Communication, or Communications. • 8 years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience working in an architectural, engineering, or construction firm • Previous experience conducting quality reviews for the work of others • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint). • Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software (e.g., Acrobat, Adobe InDesign). • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. • Detail-oriented with impeccable spelling and grammar skills. • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal writer and designer clients. • Familiarity with marketing strategies and proposal development processes. • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously. • The ability to work beyond the standard scheduled workday or workweek Amount of Travel Required 0% Background Check and Drug Testing Information CDM Smith reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions. In addition, CDM Smith may conduct drug testing for designated positions. Background checks are conducted after an offer of employment has been made in the United States. The timing of when background checks will be conducted on candidates for positions outside the United States will vary based on country statutory law but in no case, will the background check precede an interview. CDM Smith will conduct interviews of qualified individuals prior to requesting a criminal background check, and no job application submitted prior to such interview shall inquire into an applicant's criminal history. If this position is subject to a background check for any convictions related to its responsibilities and requirements, employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history. Criminal history will not automatically disqualify a candidate. In addition, during employment individuals may be required by CDM Smith or a CDM Smith client to successfully complete additional background checks, including motor vehicle record as well as drug testing.
