Job Title : Senior .NET Backend Engineer Experience : 5+ Years Employment Type : Contract Location : Remote Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .NET Backend Engineer with strong expertise in building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have deep technical proficiency in .NET technologies and solid domain knowledge in financial markets and data integration. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs using .NET Core and C# • Implement efficient data access layers using Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and optimized database queries • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best engineering practices • Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data modeling, storage, and performance optimization • Ensure application security by applying data privacy, encryption, and secure coding standards • Integrate with external financial data vendors and ensure accurate data ingestion and validation • Analyze data issues, perform root-cause analysis, and support issue tracking and resolution • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps Technical Skills • Strong expertise in .NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core, LINQ • Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, etc.) • Solid experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases • Proven experience in building scalable RESTful APIs • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, encryption, and data privacy standards Domain Knowledge • Strong understanding of financial symbology, global exchanges, and asset classes (including derivatives) • Experience handling corporate actions and financial market data • Expertise in data vendor integrations, data validation, and analytical workflows • Familiarity with issue tracking systems and production support environments Nice to Have • Experience in high-volume or low-latency financial systems • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
