Job Title: Senior Node.js (Nest.js) Backend Engineer For generations, women have navigated systems never built with them in mind. Design, build, and maintain robust backend services for large-scale, multi-tenant SaaS applications. - Work with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases with optimized schema design and performance. - Architect and deploy microservices using Docker and Kubernetes. - Utilize AWS cloud services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, Cognito) for building secure, scalable infrastructure. - Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and overall engineering processes. - Perform in-depth code reviews and ensure code quality, testing coverage, and secure coding practices (SAST/DAST). - Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and AI teams to deliver integrated features. Performance Expectations - Deliver production-ready, high-performance backend services within defined timelines. - Continuously enhance code quality, performance, and security posture. 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js and Nest.js. - Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills. - Hands-on experience building GraphQL and REST APIs. - Strong experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, and optionally MongoDB/DynamoDB. - Deep understanding of microservices and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes). - Experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, Cognito). - Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or event-driven systems. - Knowledge of Clean/Hexagonal architecture and software design patterns. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines, unit testing frameworks, and code quality tools. - Awareness, exposure, or hands-on experience with AI models, AI API integration, fine-tuning, embeddings, or model orchestration is a strong added advantage. - You care more about building the right system than about being “right.” - You take responsibility for the full lifecycle of what you build including architecture, implementation, testing, reliability, and iteration. - You move quickly when needed, but never at the expense of long-term stability. - You are comfortable building in evolving environments with partial information. - You prototype, test assumptions early, reduce dependencies, and find creative paths through constraints. - You draw energy from solving meaningful problems and building systems that open doors for millions of women.
