Job Title: Senior PHP Full Stack Developer (Lead Role) Experience: 6–7 Years Employment Type: contract Remote Job Summary We are looking for a Senior PHP Full Stack Developer who will play a lead role in designing, developing, and scaling web applications. This role is primarily hands-on (80%), with 20% responsibility in mentoring and guiding team members. The ideal candidate is technically strong, proactive, and capable of owning features end-to-end while supporting the team’s growth. Key Responsibilities Technical (80% – Hands-on Development) • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP and modern frameworks. • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services. • Develop frontend components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JS libraries/frameworks. • Work with databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and write optimized queries. • Ensure high performance, security, and scalability of applications. • Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical decisions. • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code. • Perform code reviews and enforce best development practices. • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues. • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and QA teams. Leadership (20% – People & Process Management) • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers. • Assist in task planning, estimation, and technical breakdowns. • Ensure timely delivery of features while maintaining code quality. • Encourage a collaborative and learning-oriented team culture. • Support onboarding and technical ramp-up of new team members. Required Skills & Qualifications • 6–7 years of professional experience in PHP full-stack development. • Strong expertise in PHP frameworks (Laravel / CodeIgniter / Symfony). • Solid experience with frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React/Vue is a plus). • Hands-on experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL. • Experience building and consuming REST APIs. • Knowledge of MVC architecture, design patterns, and best practices. • Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes. • Understanding of security, performance optimization, and scalability. • Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Good to Have • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP). • Exposure to Docker / containerization. • Prior experience in a lead or mentoring role. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
