Mercer Job Code PPM.01.002 Main Accountabilities Project leadership Lead the project team, establish the project execution approach and oversee project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals. Project planning and scheduling Develop comprehensive project plans in collaboration with the Project Controls department, encompassing scope, budget, schedule, and risk management. Project execution and control Manage all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with Hitachi Energy policies and best practices. This includes monitoring and controlling progress, resources, and financials. Financial performance and risk management Monitor and control project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow. Identify, qualify, quantify and manage risks, and ensure that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Contract, claims and procurement management Ensure that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements. Coordinate with Supply Chain Management, and successfully procure all required services, materials, and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers. Support Supply Chain Management in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes. Stakeholder engagement Act as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate with all stakeholders. Health, safety and environment (HSE) Ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies. Project processes and tools Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy's project management processes and effectively utilize the designated tools and technologies to manage projects efficiently. Identify areas for improvement and implement best practices/ lessons learned aligned with Hitachi Energy's methodologies. Mentorship and team development Mentor and develop team members by providing guidance, feedback, and support, fostering professional growth and enhancing team performance. Encourage a culture of continuous learning and collaboration to achieve project and personal goals effectively.
