Learn more: http://peepulindia.org Programme Overview Peepul has been partnering with the School Education Department, Govt of Madhya Pradesh, for multiple years now. Working closely with the state bureaucratic leadership, Peepul has played a meaningful role in strengthening the education system of the state. The partnership has been a successful one – with national and international recognition of the work. One of the flagship programmes of the state we are co-leading is the Sandipani Vidyalaya Techer Professional Development programme. This international award-winning programme looks to strengthen the training, coaching and performance management of the ~300,000 teachers across the state. About the role The Senior Project Manager at Peepul is purpose-driven, actively sharing the organisation's values and accommodating diverse working styles to enhance team performance. They serve as an impact-oriented individual contributor or team manager, leading program components independently with high-quality output. Taking ownership of the workstream process, the Senior Project Manager thinks entrepreneurially, seeks opportunities to broaden impact, and fosters organization-building events. As a leader, the Senior Project Manager communicates openly, builds rapport across the organisation, energises the team, and effectively manages their energy levels. The role of the Senior Project Manager is critical to the success of the continued partnership with the Government of Madhya Pradesh towards achieving quality education for all and to Peepul’s strategic objective of supporting quality improvement in the public school system in India. The Senior Project Manager will be an excellent team player who will independently lead and drive the design and delivery of interventions towards the support and accountability of teachers and academic officials of the state. Responsibilities would include (including but not limited to): • Leading project design, piloting, and implementation of interventions towards academic reforms • Taking the lead on one or more interventions/workstreams within the Sandipani Vidyalaya TPD programme, focusing on teacher support, accountability, and student learning improvement. • Designing, piloting, and developing the interventions (e.g. Professional Learning Communities, supporting a cadre of mentor teachers, Recognition mechanisms, remedial learning and tech-based learning solutions, creating digital or face-to-face training courses, etc.) in collaboration with government counterparts • Applying content knowledge and classroom experience to develop these interventions that will lead to shifts in teacher mindset, knowledge, and practice. • Leading the pilot of interventions, documenting learnings, and evolving the design to have a greater impact at scale. • Working closely with government stakeholders to build knowledge and build capacity towards improved implementation. • Defining success metrics and growth aspirations for the project and communicating effectively with all stakeholders. • Plan and sequence the implementation of programme interventions (such as Professional Learning Communities and digital courses), in close coordination with the Project Coordination team and organizational subject experts. • Facilitating sessions (e.g. training, focus group discussions, learning circles) with teachers, school leaders, cluster, and block officials as required on high-impact teaching practices and working closely with Teacher Education Institutes, district, block, and cluster officers to ensure high-quality academic mentoring. Qualifications and Role Requirements: At Peepul, we seek talented professionals passionate about driving educational transformation and making a positive impact. We are looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications and meet the role requirements: • Educational Background: A relevant educational background in Education, Social Sciences, Public Policy, or a related field. • Work Experience: We value both professional and personal experience. Candidates with 7-8 years of experience in Implementing programs at scale with 5-6 years of experience leading and managing education-related projects, preferably within the public school system or education non-profits. particularly in areas such as designing and implementing academic reforms or educational interventions. Preference will be given to candidates who also have direct classroom and teaching experience, ideally within the government school system. • Other Skills: Strong project management skills, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions. • Language Proficiency: English and Hindi How to Apply Apply via Peepul's careers portal using "Apply" button.
