Our client is looking for a highly analytical and experienced Senior Remote Aviation Data Analyst to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within India. You will play a pivotal role in extracting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting vast datasets related to flight operations, safety, maintenance, and passenger traffic. Your insights will be instrumental in identifying trends, optimizing operational efficiency, improving safety protocols, and informing strategic business decisions across the aviation sector. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in data science, statistics, and a deep understanding of aviation industry metrics and challenges. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing data models, designing and executing complex queries, and creating comprehensive reports and visualizations using industry-standard tools. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders from various departments, including operations, safety, engineering, and management, to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights. This role requires proficiency in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques applied to aviation data. You will be expected to identify opportunities for process improvements through data-driven analysis and contribute to the development of data governance policies. The ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical audiences effectively is paramount. Key Qualifications: - Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis, with at least 3 years focused on the aviation industry. - Proven expertise in programming languages such as Python or R, and database query languages like SQL. - Extensive experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and statistical software. - Strong understanding of aviation operations, regulations, and key performance indicators. - Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving abilities and a knack for uncovering hidden patterns in data. - Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex findings. - Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
