Our client, a prominent player in the retail sector, is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior Retail Operations Analyst to join their dynamic team. This fully remote position is instrumental in driving operational efficiency and optimizing store performance across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of retail KPIs, strong data analysis capabilities, and a proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. You will be responsible for analyzing sales data, inventory management, supply chain logistics, and customer behavior to identify areas for improvement and implement strategic initiatives. Responsibilities: - Analyze retail sales performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations for improvement. - Monitor and optimize inventory levels, forecasting demand, and reducing stockouts or overstock. - Evaluate store operational efficiency, including staffing, layout, and customer flow. - Analyze supply chain and logistics data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve delivery times. - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on key retail performance indicators (KPIs). - Conduct in-depth analysis of customer purchasing behavior and loyalty programs. - Collaborate with store managers and regional directors to implement operational changes. - Identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in retail operations. - Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. - Master's degree preferred. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in retail operations analysis or a similar analytical role within the retail industry. - Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, R, or Python. - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). - Strong understanding of retail KPIs, sales forecasting, and inventory management principles. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. - Superior written and verbal communication abilities. - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment. - Experience with retail POS systems and CRM software is a plus. - Proven ability to drive operational improvements and influence business decisions.
