Job Title Senior Sales Manager / Senior Business Development Manager (IT Web & Mobile Application Development Services, AV Solutions, Resource Outsourcing – Government Vertical) Company Overview Misha Infotech is a leading IT consulting and technology services company headquartered in Noida. Role Summary We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager/Senior BDM-Government Vertical to drive PAN-India sales across Central & State Government departments, PSUs, and Nodal Agencies. The role demands deep expertise in GeM Portal sales, government procurement cycles, budgeting, tendering, and liaisoning with government officials, along with the ability to build alliances and close large government deals. Key Responsibilities • Manage end-to-end sales operations for Central & State Government accounts across India. • Drive business primarily through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) Portal, including: • Bid participation, BOQ, and QCBS bidding • Reverse auctions, direct purchase, and order management • Compliance, SLA, penalties, and post-order execution coordination • Maintain strong liaisoning with government officers, PSU officials, and procurement authorities to generate and convert opportunities. • Understand and align sales strategy with government procurement cycles, budgeting timelines, and fund availability. • Work closely with PSUs and Nodal Agencies for: • Empanelment and onboarding • Routing government business through PSU frameworks • Assist customers in RFP, RFQ, EOI, and tender specification creation. • Identify, build, and manage strategic alliances with PSUs, System Integrators (SIs), and local partners to crack large deals. • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified government opportunities. • Lead large government bids end-to-end, including bid strategy, pricing, compliance, and coordination with internal teams. • Strategically position company offerings to influence product specifications and enhance competitiveness in tenders. • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and tender gaps. • Deliver impactful presentations, demos, and solution walkthroughs to government stakeholders. • Ensure strong account management to drive repeat business, renewals, cross-selling, and upselling. • Lead, mentor, and manage the government sales team to achieve revenue targets. Qualifications & Experience • MBA and/or engineering degree with specialization in sales & marketing from a reputable institution. • 5–7 years of overall experience in IT sales. • Minimum 4–5 years of proven experience in selling software solutions / IT services to government & PSU clients. • Hands-on experience working with Central and State Government departments, PSUs, and Nodal Agencies such as MeitY, NIC, CSIR, etc. • Strong experience in large government deal bidding and closures. Key Skills & Competencies • Strong hands-on expertise with the GeM Portal (buyer & seller perspective). • Deep understanding of government procurement processes and budgeting cycles. • Proven liaisoning skills with government officers and PSU stakeholders. • Extensive experience in tendering (L1, QCBS, open & limited tenders). • Strong knowledge of tender documentation, compliance, and bid evaluation. • Experience working with PSUs for empanelment and business routing. • Ability to collaborate with System Integrators and partners on complex government deals. • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills. • Strategic thinker with strong execution capability in the government sales ecosystem. Desired Candidate Profile • Must have extensive GeM-based sales experience. • Strong network within government departments and PSUs. • Ability to provide nationwide sales support and manage multiple government accounts. • Strong analytical skills to identify competitor weaknesses in bidding and tendering. • Self-driven, result-oriented, and capable of independently managing large government accounts.
